WHAT KIND OF WORK DO YOU DO?
- Am I comfortable doing the job? Will the outcome be a finished project that the client will be happy with? We only take on work where we can guarantee professional results.
- Does it make sense for the client? For example, I was once asked to shovel sidewalks. While I’m happy to help, I have a two-hour minimum. It usually doesn’t make financial sense for a client to hire me for that job alone. On the other hand, if you have a sidewalk that needs shoveling plus a list of other items on your to-do list, I’m on board!
- Does the project require a permit? While many smaller improvements do not, larger structural or utility changes often do. For your safety and peace of mind, we strictly follow local building codes. For example, upgrading an electrical panel requires a permit, so I will always refer those specific tasks to a trusted licensed contractor. However, “like-for-like” replacements—such as swapping out a light fixture or installing a new faucet—are well within our expertise and typically do not require permits.
