About
March 11, 2019 mkaplerWho am I ?
I am a professional handyman. Professionalism is my priority. I hold my work to a high standard and treat every home I enter with absolute respect. From my workspace to my communication, I’m committed to providing a clean, reliable, and professional experience that earns your business every time
I am dependable. You can trust that I will arrive when I say I will and that I will not leave the job half finished. I will respect your home and you’re your rules. If this means no shoes in the house, no problem. This also means cleaning up when the job is done.
I am an honest handyman. I believe in doing business with total transparency. I know my strengths, so if a project isn’t the right fit for my skills, I’ll tell you upfront and try to refer you to a specialist who can help. My goal is to provide high-quality work at a fair price—no guessing games or inflated quotes, just honest service you can trust.
I am a trustworthy handyman. I was in the computer security industry for many years and trusted with large corporations’ sensitive information. Myself and my employees have passed background checks.
Our Team
As my business has grown, I have hand-selected a team that shares these exact same values. Every employee I hire is held to the same high standards of professionalism, honesty, and respect that I’ve built this company on. They understand that they aren’t just there to fix a problem, but to earn your trust. When a member of my team enters your home, you can expect the same punctuality, clean workspace, and transparent communication that you would get from me personally.
I will make sure you are satisfied, and if you are not, I will keep working until it is right!

The team
Mike – Owner and Handyman
A CSU Biology grad and a 20-year tech veteran, I finally traded the office for the tool belt in 2020. I’ve been building and fixing things for as long as I can remember, and I’m thrilled to be serving my community full-time. Whether I’m out in the garden or in the middle of a complex construction project, I love the satisfaction of a job well done. I believe in honest work, clear communication, and the power of a job done right the first time—a philosophy that’s at the heart of the Brown Truck Handyman
Nate – Handyman
I’ve been a handyman with Mike since 2022, following a background in landscaping management. Standing at 6’4, I’m no stranger to hitting my head—but don’t worry, whatever I hit, I’ll fix! Don’t let my height and piercings fool you; I’m a big softie who has no problem getting my 7 lb dog to trust me. I love the satisfaction of checking off a honey-do list, but I really shine when I can sink my teeth into a challenging, multi-week project. My girlfriend says I’m driven by passion (and she’s always right!), and I’m excited to see how I can help you with your next home project.
Kiera – Apprentice
As Mike’s daughter, I’ve literally grown up around the ‘Brown Truck’ business. I’m a part-time apprentice and a quick learner who loves diving headfirst into new projects. When I’m not mastering a new tool or helping on-site, I’m likely enjoying my flute, drawing, or spending time with my dogs (I’m a huge animal lover!). I love seeing a project come together from start to finish and can’t wait to help bring your ideas to life.
Family Traditions
My Classic Brown Ford F150 has been in my family since 1987. It is part of the family with all kinds of memories tied to it.
I took my first steps towards becoming a handyman with my grandfather on his ranch. When I was a boy, he would show me his newest project and get me involved. From holding the flashlight while he worked on the generator to helping dig the latrine trench, there was always a new project on the ranch.
Today my girls learn like I did. I’ve been a handyman for years and my girls have been there helping and learning as I used to do.
